Now that's a boy enjoying his birthday!!

What a great party!!! Logan and I headed out today to attend sweet little Brett's first birthday party. And that Karen, she yet again put on quite the shindig. We had a fantastic lunch of grilled salmon(thanks Scott), salad, fruit, and bread. The kids got to run around outside and play and then it was time for cake and ice cream. Oh so good. Brett was such a good sport. He seemed to really enjoy playing outside and like most 1 year olds, he seemed quite surprised when Karen set a whole cake in front of him. He was a little timid at first and then he dug in. Logan was thrilled because he not only had a piece of cake, but then he needed to try a cupcake as well. (Hey, it was a party!) Then it was time for presents and while Logan and Craig tried to be VERY good "helpers" to Brett, the little guy pretty much just went with the flow. I had asked Karen if there was anything in particular she wanted to Brett that she didn't think anyone else was getting and she suggested a baby doll! I loved the fact that she wanted that for her little boy and I was thrilled to try to provide it. Logan and I scoured the area looking for just the right manly doll and I think we succeeded. Brett seemed to like it! It was such fun! Thanks again Scott and Karen. We look forward to Brett's second year and all it has to hold. Life is good.
