Costume Extravaganza 10.29.08

This little dinosaur is ready for trick or treating.
A triceratops and a cow can be best friends, right?
Friendship at it's finest.

For the second year, Craig and Karen came over for dinner to celebrate Logan's birthday. We also took this opportunity to get some pictures of the boys in their costumes. We played, ran around in costumes, watched some dinosaurs, had delicious pizza and cake and ice cream. It was a great evening. Thanks friends for making the day so special. Life is good.

Happy Birthday Logan 10.29.08

Logan and Grandma ready to see some dinosaurs.
That's a Velociraptor behind us.
This is the face Logan made every time a dinosaur roared.

The foot print of a Duckbill Playtapus.

This tunnel was in the toddler play area. What a fun place to visit.

Even though we are both struggling with a nasty cold, I decided to take Logan to the Pacific Science Center for his birthday this year because of his love of dinosaurs. They have this fantastic dinosaur exhibit there and I couldn't wait to show it to Logan. Eventhough a couple of the dinosaurs were a bit scary, (escpecially when they moved and roared, does a dinosaur roar? I feel like Phoebe.) Logan was a very happy camper. We spent most of our time checking out the dinosuars, but we also checked out the rest of the center. If I lived it the city, I would take Logan there all the time. What a great place for kids to explore. Mom was able to go with us and at the end of the day as we dropped her off, Logan was just sure she was suppose to stay with us. So much love for Grandma. Life is good.

Halloween Jammies 10.28.08

Every year Logan gets a new pair of Halloween jammies. His new pair is very cute, full of spiders. Life is good.

Egg Hatching 10.27.08

Come on out baby dino!
Now if that isn't a face to fall for, I don't know what is.

One of the items in Logan's birthday party goody bags was a dinosaur egg that can be put in water and hatched. Needless to say it took three days, but Logan was enthralled. He was content to just sit at the counter and watch this dino baby hatch. Life it good.

Fall Leaves and No Crying!!! 10.28.08

Logan "hiding" in the leaves.
Look at that beautiful smile.

Raking leaves is exhausting.

Man those are sweet boys.

Okay, so my smile is a little demented, but Logan looks cute.

For the past two years, Karen and I have taken the boys pictures in the leaves. Each year Logan has cried his little eyes out because apparently leaves are no good. Well, not to be discouraged, I tried it again this year and lo and behold...no crying!!!! Mom and Dad have this absolutely gorgeous maple tree that has the best fall leaves ever. So, Karen, Craig, Kim, Shaneo, Mom, Shyne, Logan, and I had a great time raking, playing, and running through the leaves. Life is good.

Happy 3rd Birthday Logan 10.26.08

The boys swinging on a beautiful fall day.
My gift to Logan...SPIKE the dinosaur!
Kurt and Linda fuond this awesome T-Rex shirt.

Man, this cake is going to be sooooo good.

A galore of dinosaurs.

Today we had a birthday party for Logan. It was dinosaur themed because at the moment my little man can't seem to get enough of these amazing big creatures. What a fun afternoon we had with friends and family. The kids had a great time running around and it wasn't too chaotic for the adults to get some good visiting time. My parents don't get a chance to see Ron and Dianne very much so they had a great time catching up. We were blessed with a beautiful fall day so the kids were able to burn off some of that cake and ice cream energy outside. Logan had a blast and was more "exkited" with all the dino gifts than I've ever seen him. Thanks for everyone for helping to make it such a wonderful time. Life is good.

Pumpkin Carving October 23, 2008

The finished product. Logan loved sitting in the bathroom where it was pitch dark so we could see the fire!
He was floored he could see inside the pumpkin!

Yummy, pumpkin seeds.

Don't worry, the knife was stuck. There was no way he was taking it out.

So excited about pumpkin carving. Man I love this little guy.
Today I stayed home with Logan at the request of his daycare. He's fighting off one heck of a cold and the little guy needed a day of rest and relaxation. I figured what better way to spend our morning than carving pumpkins. Logan was very helpful. He helped carve, spoon out the guts, and fit the "lid" back on. I think his favorite part though was putting the candle in and lighting it. "Fire, fire," he kept saying. After that we did some yard work (got to enjoy these beautiful October days while we can), and then my little man went down for a three hour nap. Just remove the part about him not feeling well and it was a great day. Life is good.

A Tyler Birthday Party Extravaganza 10.20.08

THE cake...little did I know how much turmoil it would cause.
What a happy birthday girl...sweet Brookie.
Seriously, he would not leave this cake and wouldn't let anyone else get near it.
Can you tell how long this little man had been crying? You say it's my birthday....Happy 1st Reese!
On Sunday Logan and I were lucky enough to attend our dear friends, Brooke and Reese, birthday party. It was held at Alfy's so there was pizza for everyone. Unfortunately, Logan got it in his head that he needed cake and he needed it NOW! I could barely tear that boy away from guarding it until it was ready to serve. Eventhough Logan had a tough time of it, we had a great time with friends and family. It was lovely to see everyone and celebrate these beautiful girls. Life is good.

Pumpkin Patch October 12, 2008

Getting ready to go on a train ride!
Which way do we go, which way do we go?
Logan had just been stung, Shaneo had just cut his lip open, it was time to go for a ride.
Aren't big cousins hilarious?
Here Mom, let me carry this for you.
On Sunday, Mom, Kim, Shaneo, Logan, and I went to the pumpkin patch. It has gotten to the point where we need to plan an all day event for the pumpkin patch because they offer ever so many different fun attractions. It was a beautiful October day and we walked away with great memories, a bee sting (Logan), a bloody lip (Shaneo), and some terrific pumpkins. Life is good.

Apple Pickin' October 11, 2008

Picking out the best flowers.
And they're off.....
Logan found THE best apple!
Mmmm, delicious.
What? I'm not up to anything!

Oh what fun Karen and I head with our boys today. First we went to the Farmer's Market. I had never been to one before and it was great. I bought some beautiful sunflowers and the boys had fun seeing all the goodies. Then we all went to an apple orchard where the boys got to pull red wagons, pick and eat fresh apples, play with a very friendly puppy, and enjoy a fresh apple cider donut. Life is good.
