1st Baseball Practice 4.5.12

Running the bases.
It's a hit!
Thanks for all the help coach!

Baseball started today!  Logan hadn't played before, but he really wanted to, so off we went!  We were lucky enough to get put on the same team at Craig and another little boy from Craig's class.  And the coach played ball against Scott when they were in high school!  Anyway, we had our first practice today and it was adorable!  The coach had some fantastic drills set up and Logan seemed to really get into it...especially the throwing and catching.  The hitting was a bit hard, but we'll work on it!  Can't wait for a great season!

Wild Animals 4.3.12

Hippos.
A giraffee enjoying a bite to eat!
My little lion.
My favorite animal...elephants!
Logan and I.
Grandma and her grandsons.
How do you not just love the orangutans???
A little monkeying around never hurt anyone!
The wolves were out and about!
And no zoo visit would be complete without a trip to feed the birds.
The tiger looked especially striking today!
My little guy being perfectly Logan!

It was zoo day today!  We wanted to kick off Spring Break right, so, even though it was raining, Grandma, Auntie Kim, Shaneo, Logan and I headed to the zoo.  And I have to say, even with the weather the way it was, it was fantastic!!!  The animals were great, the company was great, and we yet again, had a lovely day at the zoo.  Logan's already talking about the next time we get to come.  I think I really need to look into one of those zoo memberships!  :o)

Sunset 3.25.12

There was something about the sunset tonight that just struck me.  Not the best shots of it, but it was beautiful!

Friends 3.24.12

Today we met up with our dear friends at their campsite!  The kids rode bikes, Donna and I visited, and then it was time for some fun at the playground!!!  We only get to see these guys a few times a year, but whenever we do get together it's loads of fun and it's like no time has passed.  Thanks for a fantastic day guys!

A Couple of Cowboys 3.24.12

Howdy there partner! Logan and Woody!  Just a couple o' cowpokes!

Physical Therapy 3.21.12

After a few weeks of watching Logan struggle with his gait and continue to favor his broken leg, we decided that some physical therapy was in order.  So, we went to a local place that was highly recommended and spent a few weeks retraining that darn right leg.  I'm happy to report that he's doing much better and I have no fear that he'll make a complete recovery!

Marshmallow Art 3.21.12

Look at what Logan brought home today...Marshmallow art!  I love all the projects he brings home from school!  Now if only I could find a way to keep all the projects!  ;o)

Daffodils 3.21.12

Once again, the farmers in our area outdid themselves.  Logan and I took to the valley today to take in all the fields of flowers...here is what he found...a sea of yellow!  One of these days, I'd love to see it by air.  I can just imagine it almost looking like a patchwork quilt.  So great!

Happy St. Patrick's Day 3.17.12

Our first surprise from the Leperchaun...I loved the little note he left for us!
I'm not sure about the face, but he really was a happy camper!
Look at that treasure!! :o)
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
A lunch of green!

Now, as naughty as he was, the Leperchaun did leave us a few little treats.  He left us his favorite cereal for us to enjoy, and then put together a cool little treasure hunt that ended with some candy!  Then for lunch, we dined on all green food!  Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Naughty Little Leprechaun 3.17.12

He turned Norman's dishes upside down and stacked them on top of each other.
He even checked out the trap, and took the gold bait off the top without getting caught.  Sneaky, so sneaky.
And to top it all off, well, you can see what he did in the bathroom...

Oh, that Leprechaun!  He struck again!  We rigged up trap and everything, but to no avail.  He snuck through our house, leaving his sneaky little green footprints all over the place.  Maybe next year.  We'd sure like to catch him and make him give us all his gold!

Dinosaur Art 3.10.12

Logan decided today to do some painting.  He had gotten these cool dinosaurs to paint for his birthday from Uncle Mick and Aunt Cheryl and we had just never gotten around to doing it.  But today was the day.  He loved it.  Of course, for his first one, he chose to do the T-Rex.  Shocking, right?   He's quite the artist, no?

Happy Birthday Norman 3.9.12

Happy Birthday Norman.  In honor of your 7th birthday, I took a picture of your Namesake.  This is the road where you got your name and that you were born on.  Not that you were born on a road, but the house you were born into is on this road.  For the past seven years you have brought so much joy to our lives.  With your LOVE of people, your need to be with them, your complete confidence in the fact that you are one, your love of Sally, and of course, the way you talk to us...there's nobody like you sweet boy.  We were blessed the day you were born and very oh so very lucky that you are ours!  Love, Momma and Logan.

Free At Last 2.24.12

The SAW!
Logan did not like how loud the saw was.  But at least he was still smiling at this point.
FREEDOM!!
I don't know what it was, but I thought there was something so funny about how his cast ended up in the trash!

After six weeks in a cast, Logan is finally free!!!  Today was the big day.  It was a little scary when they had to saw it off, there were a few tears, but then the cast was off!!!  His poor little leg looked so weak and tiny.  Now comes the hard part...building his strength back up!

Valentine's Day 2.14.12

Valentine's brownies...I used heart shaped cookie cutters to cut out the brownies...so cute!
Some of the decor in his classroom.
Logan and his classmates enjoying their personal heart shaped pizzas.
More of his classmates!
More.
And more.
Norman with his new Valentine's Day bone!  We love you so much Norman!
Logan and his Valentine's Day gift...he loves his Legos!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  I had the pleasure of helping out in Logan's classroom for his Valentine's Day party!  So.  Much.  Fun.  All the kids were dressed up in reds, whites, and pinks.  The room was decorated to the nines and the kids were SO excited!  It was so fun to see them hand out all their Valentine's to each other and put them in their big envelopes.  It was fun to watch them read the names and match them up.  The kids played games; made pizza; did crafts; and read stories.  Then we headed home and I gave the boys their Valentine's gifts and we had heart shaped pizza for dinner!  I wonderful Valentine's Day spent with my two best Valentine's!!
