Pictures?? 10.25.09

In a few weeks, we have another photo session scheduled with my dear friend Becky. This time it's gonna be the whole family and we really wanted to do it outside, try to get a really good feel for fall and such. So, I've been on the lookout for a great place to get these photos taken. My cousin, Brandi, knew of a place and so me and Logan and Kim and Shaneo went with her on a blustery afternoon and checked it out! Assuming it doesn't rain, it was perfect!!! I was enthralled with the site and I can't imagine all that Becky is going to be able to do with it. That girl has got a good eye. Anyway, here are some images from this old farm that we're hoping to use. Wish us luck and no rain. I'll be sure to post some pictures when the shoot happens. Life is good!

All Hands on Deck 10.25.09

For Logan's 4th birthday party, we went with a pirate theme. Logan is going to be a pirate for Halloween and he's really been getting into it. I painted some pictures for the walls and we decked out our place to be very piratey!!! :-) I had forgotten just how much fun you can have with pirate stuff. Good times. Life is good.

Walk the Plank 10.25.09

Arg Matey!!!
My birthday boy.

Shiver me timbers!!
Was Craig just told to walk the plank????

I had pirate hats to give out to all the kids, so we had a house full of ruthless, tough, completely adorable pirates. :-) Life is good.

Let Them Eat Cake 10.25.09

Sneaking a few tastes of the cake before the party.
Make a wish. :-)

The boys had a great time discussing their favorite types of cake as they chowed down.

As always, Logan was thrilled with his cake. We continued with our pirate theme...I had the cake read...."Arg! It's me birthday!" Fitting, don't ya think? Life is good.

Books and Cars and Pirates, Oh My 10.25.09

Logan had seen this pirate ship on tv about two weeks before his party and he asked about it everyday. I would hear, "Mama, we sure do need that." So, I told my folks about it and grandparents doing what grandparents do best...it found it's way to our house. :-)

Grandma got big hugs...

...and so did Grandpa! Aren't grandparents the best?? :-)

We all know that gifts aren't the point of birthday parties...it's about friends and family celebrating the life of the birthday boy! However, with all that being said, to watch the joy in a child's eyes when they open a present...there's no delight quite like it!!! Thanks to everyone for helping us celebrate Logan's 4th! Life is good. :-)

Halloween Jammies 10.21.09

New Halloween jammies are a tradition at our house....Life is good!

Two Birthday Girls 10.18.09

Logan had fun being the captain of the ship.
Craig and Logan helped me with my groceries.

The kids got pizza and cake. Woohoo!

Happy Birthday Brooke and Reese.

Reese looking at her new book that Logan and I got her...Purplelicious!

We had another fabulous birthday party this weekend. Brooke was turning 5 and her sister Reese was turning 2. Jason and Linda hosted it at our local children's museum, so not only did we get all the fun of a birthday party, but Logan got to spend two hours playing at the museum as well. Talk about fun!!! ;-) Happy Birthday girls! We love you. Life is good.

Carving Pumpkins 10.13.09

Logan tried to shine a little light on the situation.
This is what our sad guy is hopefully gonna look like.

That's my boy.

Ewwww, pumpkin guts!!!! :-)

It is pumpkin carving time ladies and gentlemen!!!! :-) Every year Logan gets more and more into carving. This year he couldn't wait to "scratch" up his pumpkin. I asked him what we should carve and he said we should do a sad one, a happy one, and a mad one. Well, I forgot just how time consuming the whole carving business is, so needless to say, we got the sad one done and that was it. :-) Hopefully we'll get to the other two in the next few days. Happy Halloween!! Life is good!

Good morning 10.13.09

He ususally likes to bring a toy in the car with him...
...this morning, it was a snake. Awesome! :-)

I LOVE this shot. Love you Logs.

Just thought I'd capture a few shots of my little guy in the morning. As tough as it is to get up and get going in the morning, he's always such a trooper. Life is good.

Happy Birthday Tommy 10.11.09

The birthday boy!
Any party that serves brownies...we're there!

The kids had a great time playing outside.

Presents sure are fun. :-)
Sophia catching up on her work. :-)

Today Logan and I were lucky enough to attend Tommy's 8th birthday party! Woohoo!! Darrick and Anne threw a great party with great snacks, delicious brownies, endless talk with friends, oh, and Tommy got some fun gifts too! Thanks for having us over guys. :-) Life is good.

Pumpkin Patch One 10.10.09

Mom, Kim, Shaneo, Logan, and I hit our local pumpkin patch today. Man, seriously, this is by far one of my most favorite traditions. There is so much to do. We check out the big tires, go through the toddler maze, go through the big maze, play in the cutouts, check out the cool decor, slide down the slide, find the great pumpkin, go on the tractor barrel ride, listen to the band play, pet the animals in the petting zoo, take some fantastic photos, and end with a delicious lunch. The day couldn't have been better. Good times, good family, good weather, good food...life is good. :-)

Pumpkin Patch Two 10.10.09

The next thing on our agenda was to hit the corn maze. Shaneo did a great job leading us to find all the clues about "The Wizard of Oz." Mom and Kim got all their clues filled out and the boys had a blast. Good stuff. Life is good.

Pumpkin Patch Three 10.10.09

I really want the people that decorate this farm to come to my house and totally dec it out in fall decor. That could happen right???? :-) Life is good.
