The Capitol (sort of) 1.22.13

For our last day we had big plans...we were going to spend the day at the Capitol.  We were going to take a tour and Darrick even got us tickets to see areas of the Capitol that are usually off limits to the public.  It was going to be awesome!!!  What really happened is that we again got a later start than planned and then got out voted, so we stopped at the White House (which took forever) then it was finally off toward the Capitol.  While the rest of the group stayed with Frank, Darrick and I hightailed it up the hill to get our tour tickets.  As we were waiting in line, Darrick realized that he had forgotten our other tickets back on the bus that we wouldn't be seeing again for a couple hours.  Then we couldn't get tour tickets until 11:25, but we had to meet our bus at 12:00.  We still thought we could see at least some of the place, but then the tour guide told us we were on Capitol time which meant that our tour wouldn't start until 11:35 and the tour began with a mandatory 15 minute video which left us exactly 10 minutes to make it back to our bus by 12:00.  Grrrrrrrr.  It was so disappointing, but I guess that's just the reason I needed to HAVE to go back again!  :o)
