School's Out for Summer 5.27.10

When I dropped off Logan he was whisked away and given a red shirt, sunglasses, and Mardi Gras beads...if that's not a festive look, I don't know what is.
Like I said, he just wasn't feelin' it...he had his hands in his pockets for most of the performance.

Shaking the maracas with his sombrero.

Logan and his teacher Nancy...Love her!!! (Oh, and Sam off to the side!!!)

It's hard to believe, but Logan just finished his first year of "school", sure it was "pre-school", but it still counts. I am in awe of his awesome teacher and how she got all those little 3 and 4 year olds to learn the basics of school...raising your hand, waiting your turn, sitting quietly and listening to the teacher...fabulous! Logan's growth this year and his confidence in his abilities has just skyrocketed. I'm thrilled he'll have another year of preschool next year before the big kindergarten move. I'm so proud of you little Loganberry. For the end of the year, both classes (the 3 year olds {which Logan was in} and the 4 year olds) put on this concert that was just a hoot. Logan wasn't quite feeling it that day, and I was in a horrible spot to get pictures, but we still had a great time. After the program, we went downstairs for a video that the preschool team had put together and it was adorable. Throughout the video Logan just kept calling out the kids names as he saw them, "It's Pierce!" "It's Luke!" "It's ME!" It was precious. Thank you to all the teachers, aids, and volunteers that helped to make Logan's first year of school the best either of us could have hoped for. Life is so good.
