Second Baseball Game 4.14.12

The blue team looking ready to take on the yellow team.
Logan looking oh so chill on firstbase.
Logan and his friend, T, chatting it up...to me, this is what Little League is all about.
The coach trying to decide who goes where, as the team stays focused and attentive. :o)
Let's go Logan!
Running to home...slide Logan, slide!

Today we played the yellow team and Logan's friend from school was on the team.  It was really cute watching them visit out on the field.  I love that at this age, the competition aspect of sports is not stressed at all and instead it's the aspect of sportsmanship, hard work, and playing as a team.  Logan had a great game and got into it even more than the first game.

Baseball Practice 4.12.12

Scott pitching to Craig.
Logan looking almost ready to catch the ball.
Batter up!!

Today was baseball practice again...and Logan had a blast.  The coach does a really great job of using the practice time wisely.  He has those kids hitting and throwing and catching and fielding.  I feel like Logan is learning SO much.  He tends to slash at the ball when it comes his way, but the swing is getting there.  Can't wait to see how the season plays out.

First Baseball Game 4.7.12

Big Hitter is right!  Look at that pose!?!?!
It's always important to stretch out before making all those big plays.
Logan's got the infield covered.
Keep your eye on the ball Logan!
It was a single!
Ummm, Logan?  Logan?  Ummmm????
Running to first base!
Good game.  Good game.

Today was Logan's first baseball game.  At this age, the games are 4 innings or an hour, whichever comes first.  Also, everyone gets a chance at bat every inning and everyone makes it on base; they just sometimes bring the T out.  I have to say, I'm really impressed with Logan.  Having never played T-ball, he's picked it up quite well.  Sometimes I think he's bored, but everytime I ask him if he likes it, he says yes!  We both just have to remember, it's much different than soccer.  There's a lot more standing around.  But he had a blast at his first game!!!  Way to go team!

Celebrating Easter with the Family 4.7.12

What a beautiful Easter day!
Logan got these fantastic ant glasses...so cool Logan; so cool!
We also used this oppotuniry to celebrate Kim's birthday!!  Happy Birthday Auntie Kim!
The boys ready for the hunt.
Well done Logan.  You've found it in the trees!

Well done Shaneo!!!
Ya think they're talking about where to look next??
Task accomplished!

After a lovely morning at home, we headed to Papa and Grandma's to celebrate Easter with the whole family.  Lucky Shane and Logan, the Easter Bunny made a stop at Papa and Grandma's house for them as well.  And then they got to do an outdoor egg hunt.  I was elected the official hider, so off I went.  I tried to hide them with just the right amount of difficulty...but as always, the boys found them all.  Well done boys!

Happy Easter 4.7.12

I think the Easter Bunny should be very happy with this spread!
The Easter Bunny was here!
Happy guy with some of his new toys from the Easter Bunny.
Nice job Logan...you even found the one in my boots.
I thought this one was going to be really hard...you see how it blends in with the others?  Well, he found it, no problem!

Food for the Easter Bunny.  Check.  An Easter basket full of goodies.  Check.  An egg hunt around the house.  Check.  It was a great Easter!!  Logan was totally into the hunt for eggs and he did really, really well.  I think the Easter bunny needs to make it a little harder next year.  I He forgets that I have one smart little boy on my hands!  That and I think Logan got some practice helping Karen look for the eggs for her birthday.  Happy Easter everyone!

Dying Eggs 4.6.12

Before.
Getting ready.
He looks ready.
Go eggs go!
We drew on the eggs this year...here is our chic and rabbit!
They call me Mr. Pirate!

As Easter got closer, it was time to dye Easter Eggs.  Logan was very hands on this year and he/we only cracked a couple.  :o)  Then afterwards, Logan decided it was pirate time...boy would I not mess with him!

Happy Birthday Karen 4.6.12

Karen's real gift!
Brett playing in the sandbox.
Craig and Logan helping with the hunt!

For Karen's birthday, there was no way for me to top her surprise party and week of gifts; but since her birthday falls so close to Easter, I decided that a birthday Easter Egg hunt was in order. So I hid some eggs with some clues in them, so not only did she have to find the eggs, but she had to figure out the clues to get the goodies.  Karen ended up getting some help from the boys, who were just as excited as she was!  Luckily, she found them all and got the prize at the end...well done Karen and Happy, Happy Birthday!
