While Karen took Brett to his one year check up, Logan and I got to play with Craiger. The boys had a blast playing in the water and sand box. It may seem a little excessive to have two kiddie pools for one boy, but when we have playdates it works out beautifully. Craig is definitely a water boy and loves to jump right in and splash around, Logan is the exact opposite. So, today we had the splashing pool and the non-splashing pool and it was perfect. After awhile Logan even convinced Craig that the lawn chair in the pool approach was the way to go. Such fun. We had a great afternoon and can't wait to have Craig over again soon. Life is good.

Summer Time in the City 7.25.10
It's pool time baby!!! Today was a hot one, so Logan and I headed to the backyard for some pool fun which for my son consists of wading in the water, filling his mouth full and spitting it on Norman, and putting one of his lawn chairs in it to sit and play with his toys. In a few years I'd like to get a bigger pool and then maybe I can get a wee bit more enjoyment out of it and also Logan can have a safe comfortable place to learn to love the water. But for now, we very much enjoy our little kiddie pools and the fun that they allow. Sweet, sweet summer. Life is good.
More Berry Pickin' 7.21.10
Shockingly enough Logan and I headed back to the berry farm to load up on more delicious fruit, but this time we brought along some friends. Karen, Craig, and Brett came with us and this time we focused more on the raspberries as the strawberries were pretty picked over and getting a little too ripe. More berries, more rides, and more shakes. This time we also got a tractor ride out to the raspberries. Oh, and cookies were in order as well. Man I could get used to this. Life is good. :o)
High Heels 7.20.10
So today as I was in the kitchen doing dishes Logan kind of scurries off and I don't see him for a bit. Soon enough he comes walkin' around the corner and says, "Wook at me Momma." And there's my boy lookin' oh so funny in a pair of my heels. He thought he was hilarious! Oh my little Loganberry, thanks for keeping me on my toes. Life is good.
Norm and Logan Again 7.19.10
Just thought I'd throw up this picture of Logan and Norm. It seems I never get tired of capturing my two boys together. Life is good.
Happy First Birthday Brett 7.18.10
What a great party!!! Logan and I headed out today to attend sweet little Brett's first birthday party. And that Karen, she yet again put on quite the shindig. We had a fantastic lunch of grilled salmon(thanks Scott), salad, fruit, and bread. The kids got to run around outside and play and then it was time for cake and ice cream. Oh so good. Brett was such a good sport. He seemed to really enjoy playing outside and like most 1 year olds, he seemed quite surprised when Karen set a whole cake in front of him. He was a little timid at first and then he dug in. Logan was thrilled because he not only had a piece of cake, but then he needed to try a cupcake as well. (Hey, it was a party!) Then it was time for presents and while Logan and Craig tried to be VERY good "helpers" to Brett, the little guy pretty much just went with the flow. I had asked Karen if there was anything in particular she wanted to Brett that she didn't think anyone else was getting and she suggested a baby doll! I loved the fact that she wanted that for her little boy and I was thrilled to try to provide it. Logan and I scoured the area looking for just the right manly doll and I think we succeeded. Brett seemed to like it! It was such fun! Thanks again Scott and Karen. We look forward to Brett's second year and all it has to hold. Life is good.
Family Dinner 7.17.10
After the festival and a nap, Logan, Norman, and I jumped in the car and headed over to Kim and Jeff's for dinner and good ole time with the family. I'm reminded yet agian how lucky I am that I live close to all my family. It's so important to me for Logan to grow up knowing his cousins, aunts, uncles, and such. What fun we had this evening. Jeff made me a very delicious drink and all of us a great dinner. Kim and I decorated her hallway with some great pictures. Logan and Shaneo played a lot. And Norman and Neiko ran and ran and ran!!! After dinner, Jeff made a campfire (with a blow torch which Logan found very thrilling) and we roasted marshmellows. Ahhh, good times. Life is good.
