A Beautiful Afternoon 5.24.09

The boys racing on our walk.
Norm and Mom kept each other company.

What a good looking group. Logan definitely had the silly's.

Mom and Dad live in the perfect location for kite flying.

Nieko, Norman, and Logan...thirsty boys. :-)

On Sunday, Mom and Dad had an impromptu get together with the family. It was such a fantastic day and really made it feel like summer was right around the corner. We went for a walk, had a fantastic lunch, flew kites and just had some great time with the family. I feel so blessed that we all live relatively close to one another and can get together so often. I'm a lucky girl. Life is good.

Our Routine 5.21.09

Can it really be an addiction when it tastes so good?
Logan's beverage of choice...apple juice.

Norm tired out from running/walking.

I get coffee. Logan gets a donut. (I think I get the better end.)

He's asking me where all the bread went...oops. Better bring more next time.

So Logan and I have officially gotten into a routine. When weather is permitting, we grab Norman and head out for a little walk. We talk, we look at all the things around us, we feed the ducks, we scare the ducks, we run, we pick up Norm's poo, and ultimately we end up at Starbucks!!! Life is good!

Good Times 5.16.09

Thanks for providing dessert Kara...Brenna sure enjoyed it.
Kids on a swingset...good times.

Look at those sisters. :-)

Griffin was definitely the daredevil that day.

And as always, Logan and Craiger were inseparatable.

Kids. Friends. Pizza. Playing. Good times! My dear friends Becky and Kara and Karen came over today and they brought their youngen's. We had such a terrific time visiting while the kids could go crazy both in and outside (thank you weather Gods). :-) It was really a great mix and I can't wait to do it again. Thanks guys for coming over and making our Saturday fantastic! Life is good.

And they're off...5.10.09

The first none winner I picked...hey, he looks fast to me!
Logan and I waiting to see if our horses win.

Logs rooting for the horses! (He really got into it!)

Logan and Grandma high fiving after winning!!

After waiting for what felt like FOREVER, Logan finally had his turn on "Paint".

For Mother's Day this year, I decided to take my mom to the races. There is a race track about an hour and a half away from our place and Mom and I have talked about going for years. It was suppose to be a nice day and we thought, "What the heck, let's do it!" So, Logan, Mom, and I loaded up and hit the road. The drive down was flawless and the races were amazing!!! Mom and I bet on 4 races. Me=0 for 4. Mom=3 for 4. Logan (he picked the pink one every time)=3 for 4. Seriously, I need to just follow their lead. :-) Not only did Logan love watching the horses race, but then there were water trucks, tractors, airplanes overhead, a train track right next to the race track, and those weren't even the designated "kid" activities! After we got our fill of races and lunch, we headed over the the family section where Logan got to go down a big slide, bounce in a horse bouncy house, and best of all, ride a pony! We ended up staying for about 4 hours, exhausting, but what a fantastic time! I definitely want to go back and Logan hasn't stopped talking about it. It was such a fabulous way to spend my Mother's Day. Life is good!

Happy Birthday Shaneo 5.2.09

Just one of the cool toys.
Oh Dad, you could never resist a pretty face!

Grandma bought Logan a chocolate bar...here he's about half way through with it.

After he got his hands cleaned, he didn't want to dirty them again, but there was still chocolate left...hmmm...what to do?

Shane was one very lucky boy today!

Logan was so excited this year to go to Shane's party because it was held at our local fun house. There are so many things for the kids to do, while the parents can just relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Logan had such a blast following Shane around and trying to keep up with all the big kids. And oh, bless those big kids' hearts for being so patient and helpful to my little Loganberry. We had a great time and I think Shaneo was in heaven. Thanks Kim and Jeff for a great party. Life is good.

A lover 4.27.09

So here we are attending a fabulous birthday party for dear little Brady. There are toys and trucks and ice cream and rough housing and outside play and parting gifts....of all the choices (circles, squares, stars, etc.) and of all the colors (blue, yellow, red, green)...this is what my little man chose! Gotta love 'em! Life is good.

Tulips 4.20.09

Traditional tulip cutout shot.
Yes, of course, I made sure we matched. :-)

Grandma and Shaneo
